Motherhood. It's an extreme sport you know?! What other sport requires endless bending over, lifting, running, and chasing. It's the reason why mom's need so many pairs of "comfy clothes."
I've been thinking a lot about Motherhood this week. It's exhausting at times, yet so rewarding. And what makes a good mom anyways? How do you be a good mom? I found a quote that sums it up perfectly!
Want to be a good mom? TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
Cry. Run. Lift. Go to therapy. Scream.
Be alone. Take a bubble bath.
Get a babysitter. Quit your job.
Get a job. Ride around town and blast your radio.
Get your nails done.
Whatever needs to be done, do it.
We need you to be okay. You've got this!
Sometimes as a mom, it's impossible to get everything done that needs to be done. But guess what? It's important to take care of ourselves too. This week I'm resolving to take a little extra time to fill my own cup. Here's what I like to do to take care of myself:
Get outside for 30 minutes of sunshine.
Take a nap.
Take a longer than normal shower.
Paint my nails.
Go to bed early.
Eat a treat.
I'm resolving to do better this week at taking care of myself. Who's with me?
